Sears Canada loss narrows; sales drop
(Reuters) – Sears Canada Inc reported a smaller quarterly loss on Tuesday even as its sales slid. The net loss for the third quarter ended on October 27 narrowed to C$21.9 million, or 22 Canadian cents a share, from C$44.1 million, or 42 Canadian cents a share, a year earlier. LONDON (Reuters) – A Royal Navy submariner admitted in court on Tuesday that he met two men he thought were Russian agents to pass on military secrets, including the sailing dates of British nuclear submarines. Petty officer Edward Devenney, 30, from Northern Ireland, pleaded guilty at the Old Bailey to a charge of misconduct in public office, relating to the alleged theft of passwords and computer programmes used to encrypt secret information.
