Rugby-Wales forward Jones returns from training for scans
LONDON, Oct 31 (Reuters) – Wales forward Ryan Jones will undergo scans on an injured shoulder ahead of the autumn internationals against Argentina, Samoa, New Zealand and Australia, the Welsh Rugby Union said on Wednesday. The backrow forward, who has captained Wales a joint-record 28 times, returned from training in Poland where he has been managing a shoulder problem predating his arrival. Wales take on Argentina on Nov. 10 in Cardiff and play Samoa six days later before welcoming world champions New Zealand on Nov. 24 and twice World Cup winners Australia on Dec. 1. …


Croatia sentences wartime guards for abuse of Serbs
ZAGREB (Reuters) – Croatia sentenced five former policemen to between one and three and a half years in prison on Wednesday for torturing ethnic Serb prisoners during Croatia’s 1991-95 war for independence. Croatia is scheduled to join the European Union in July, but its judiciary, human rights and war crimes trials remain under scrutiny. Brussels also wants the ex-Yugoslav republic to pursue efforts to combat organized crime and corruption. …

LPG, which comprises propane and butane, comes mainly from oil rather than natural gas, but shippers and insurers are steering clear of Iranian supplies due to uncertainty over the scope of the new European Union sanctions.
