Crown prince says he wants to reassure Saudis about king's health
JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia (Reuters) – Saudi Crown Prince Salman said he wanted to reassure “everybody” about King Abdullah’s health at a cabinet meeting on Monday, more than a week after the monarch had surgery to tighten a ligament in his back, state news agency SPA reported. The king, believed to be in his late 80s, was admitted for surgery on November 16 and an announcement from the Royal Court said that he had undergone a successful back operation that lasted for 11 hours. Onex to buy U.S. insurance brokerage services co for $2.3 billion

A market trader packs up his stall in LondonLONDON (Reuters) – Public inflation expectations in Britain for the next 12 months fell to 2.8 percent in November from 3.0 percent in October, a survey by polling company YouGov showed on Monday. Inflation expectations for the next 5-10 years also fell, dropping to 3.4 percent – the lowest since July – from 3.7 percent in October. The survey of 2,162 people was carried out on behalf of bank Citi, and was conducted between November 21 and November 23, shortly after official data showed consumer price inflation rose to 2.7 percent in October. …
