Rugby-Flood out with toe injury, Burns set for debut
LONDON, Nov 26 (Reuters) – England flyhalf Toby Flood has been ruled out of their final international of the year against New Zealand on Saturday with a toe injury, coach Stuart Lancaster said on Monday. Flood suffered the injury in last weekend’s 16-15 defeat by South Africa at Twickenham and is now likely to be replaced by either Owen Farrell or uncapped Freddie Burns. Farrell, who came off the bench on Saturday, is favourite to start but Gloucester’s in-form Burns, the Premiership’s leading points scorer, is likely to feature at least from the bench. …

Hudson's Bay closes initial public stock offering
TORONTO (Reuters) – Canadian department store operator Hudson’s Bay Co said on Monday it had completed its C$365.1 million initial public offering. EDF granted site licence for new UK nuclear plant
LONDON (Reuters) – France’s EDF and partner Centrica have received the first UK site licence for a new nuclear plant in 25 years, paving the way for Britain’s first new nuclear station since 1995. EDF was granted the licence on Monday for Hinkley Point in Somerset, where it intends to build two of the four nuclear power reactors it plans to construct in Britain. …

CAIRO (Reuters) – Egyptian mediators began separate talks on Monday with Hamas and with Israel to flesh out details of a ceasefire agreed last week that ended eight days of fighting in the Gaza Strip. An Egyptian official told Reuters the talks would discuss Palestinian demands for the opening of more Israeli crossings into Gaza – a move that would help end six years of blockade of the coastal enclave ruled by the Islamist Hamas. The Egyptian-brokered ceasefire came into force last Wednesday, ending hostilities between the two sides that cost the lives of 167 Palestinians and six Israelis. …

DR Congo's M23 rebel leader heads to Uganda for withdrawal talks
The leader of the Congolese rebel group M23, which sacked the city of Goma a week ago, is set to meet officials in neighboring Uganda for negotiations over the group’s withdrawal. But various reports indicate that M23 is operating under the auspices of the Rwandan government, suggesting that a resolution to the immediate crisis may require international pressure as well.
